Pelé,82, the retired Brazilian footballer, considered by many in the world as the greatest footballer ever seen, was pronounced dead by the Albert Einstein hospital doctors, yesterday, 29th of December, in São Paulo, Brazil.
Santos Football club, Pelé's former club paid tribute on Twitter.

Pelé condition has worsened followed the last year discovery; a colon cancer. In the same year Pelé had a total hip arthroplasty - in other words, prosthesis implantation.
Pelé passed the last days of his life hospitalized, having chemotherapy sections, since he was admitted in the hospital on 29th of November 2022.
“The King of the football,” who among other things, stopped a war in Nigeria’s battlefield for 48 hours in the 80s, was fighting f
or many years with complications in his health conditions.
Pelé is a three-time World cup winner: 1958 in Sweden, 1962 in Chile and, 1970 in Mexico. Nobody else has such achievement until the present moment, as a player, in the international football.
Born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Pelé received in life many honours such as: the Knighthood in the UK in 1997, also, he was named athlete of the century in 1999, by the International Olympic Committee, and late recognised with the Ballon d’Or in 2013. A French award for the best footballer of the season. (For his performances in the years from 1958 to 1961,1964,1965 and 1970).
