Mark Hudson, a Pensioner, and Independent Local Election candidate for Brandwood & Kings Heath in Birmingham, who was taking part on the protest, expressed his concern, saying, "The reason I am here is because I am uniting with other people from other areas, London in this case mainly, where basically there's been an impact on access car use.

Unfairly so, in my opinion, really because it impacts on the poorest the most." Told him at the protest in Trafalgar Square on 15th of April.

Petts Wood & Knoll Councillor, Borough of Bromley, Simon Fawthrop, also taking part in the protests said that the impact of ULEZ reaches far beyond the borders of London. He said: "Everybody out of London knows somebody that is seriously impacted by ULEZ.

It is not just a minority; it is a vast number of people. Everybody knows someone."

Fawthrop highlighted the difficulties of essential workers like police officers, teachers, nurses, and doctors, who may find it challenging to get to work under the new regulations. "If they cannot get to work, it impacts everyone," he said.
